It’s Time to Learn Shuffle
It may appear like learning to shuffle is a difficult challenge, but it isn’t! You’ll be able to crash the dance floor in no time, if you begin practising slowly, but surely from today!
First of all, you will begin by learning the classic “running man” move.
With practice, you’ll be able to change things up and put your own touch to the entire shuffle dance. You may end up dancing differently on each song and with the time you will become the notorious Master of Shuffle! Doesn’t it sound fantastic?
The following beginner shuffle dance lesson will teach you the principles of Running Man. You’ll begin by easily breaking down the steps, and then connect the steps with counts and finally to the music.
Beginners' Guide to Shuffling
As a rookie, you must master only two main moves before continuing to more complex material.
Apart from running man, the V-step action is seen in the gif below. You can see the fully detailed lessons by seeing our full beginner shuffle dance course.
As a beginner, a wonderful tip to remember is to have practices on a slidy (slippery) floor, or simply wearing only socks instead of boots. This, will ensure your moves to be more smooth and it will result in learning shuffle much faster!
After mastering the essential shuffle movements, you may now combine some slides, spins and jumps. With time, you’ll develop a unique shuffle routine, which is personalised to you alone. Then all you need is some fantastic EDM bashing music booming through your speakers and let the party begin!
