The shuffle dance form is originated in Melbourne, Australia during 1980s and early 1990s. Hence, it became known by the name “Melbourne Shuffle”.  Shuffle didn’t have much visibility in the beginning. It was mostly restricted to the underground and rave scenes, but eventually it made its way into EDM festivals.
